What next for Okoa Kenya clerks?

Much hyped Okoa Kenya event marked early this year was indeed a success. However every success leaves much more to be done. Okoa Kenya aimed at providing a platform of change to Kenyans and a means of solving the social ills and problems the country is ailing from as a result of what the proponents claim to be poor governance.
However, even after the collection of signatures country wide, things weren’t done yet for the movement. There was much more to be done and the movement hired a number of clerks to work on the data. Work began at the office and the principals promised to have everything done and presented to the IEBC as soon as possible.
Nevertheless, with pressure mounting on the Okoa Kenya coordinators, everything had to hurried up to make sure the initiative is kept in place and completed in good time. Deadline was issued and communicated through the Raila Odinga office and the clerks were informed of everything that was to be done within the given time frame.
August came and past and the data was ready. Kenyans were left wondering if the initiative was on course. However at the Okoa Kenya offices, the machines laid bare without any clerk to work on them. Was their anything wrong? Maybe but who knows? Maybe someone could explain. Our sources of information revealed to us that the clerks hadn’t been paid and so the work couldn’t go ahead. Three months later, the Okoa Kenya principals were last week at the offices to receive the data and promised to Hand them over to the IEBC. However, what happens to those behind the completed work? Is there a remuneration for them? Who knows? Maybe those in office. Or were they duped to do the work freely? Who knows? Maybe those in office.
