The heavy rains on Tuesday evening have left the thika superhighway flooded for the better part of the night. Areas around Roysambu, TRM, Zimmerman and Kahawa Wendani weren’t spared at all as heavy traffic jam sprung up with vehicles being forced to use a single lane.
Houses in Zimmerman, Githurai and Kahawa Wendani among other areas got flooded as residents were forced to vacate their houses for the night to safer grounds.
Motorist have been advised to use the Kiambu road to bypass on their way to Thika.
